Manchester to Wales and Conwy Castle
We say goodbye to the urban bustle of Manchester and head straight for the border to a magical place: Wales. What do we know about Wales? Its tongue-twisting language is the oldest in Great Britain; it's the land of castles, with over 600 across the country; and it's a landscape of inescapable beauty. But there's so much you don't know, and you can't know, until you explore it for yourself. So, let the adventure begin.
Lunch in Conwy and Conwy Castle
We head through the beautiful Welsh countryside and along the Conwy coastline until we reach the little town of Conwy. This gorgeous harbour town boasts a castle perched by the sea, the ‘world's smallest house', and a plethora of restaurants with delectable fish and chips, among other things. This is ideal, since Conwy is your lunch stop for the day, and we highly recommend splitting your time between the sights and the senses.
Isle of Anglesey and South Stack Nature Preserve
After you've soaked up the sea air, you cross the world's first modern day suspension bridge onto Anglesey Island. Prior to its construction, cattle farmers would have to persuade their herd to swim across the Menai Straits on their way to market. But it was always worth it to visit the beauty of Anglesey Island, with yawning marshes and sandy beaches, limestone cliffs and beautiful lagoons, this island has it all. We head for the most westerly point of North Wales to marvel at the South Stack Nature Reserve. Luscious farmland meets rugged coastal cliffs, and the iconic lighthouse, known as Goleudy Ynys Lawd, has unbelievable views of the wild Irish Sea.
Beaumaris and free evening in Llandudno
But that's not all. We'll stop in the lovely seaside town of Beaumaris, a town with a striking blend of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture types. With an idyllic pier, an impressive 12th-century castle, and pastel-coloured cottages, we're a little bit in love with Beaumaris and think you'll be too. We'll also visit the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll for a quick photo stop. Then you travel back over the bridge and along the coastline to Llandudno. This Victorian seaside town is your overnight stop tonight and its beaches, pier and promenade make for the perfect evening stroll.

Portmeirion
Drive to Harlech Castle
Rise and shine to another adventurous day in Wales. We'll pick you up from your accommodation and make our way into Snowdonia National Park. Today, it's known by its local name Eryri National Park and within its 823 square miles you'll find nine mountain ranges, wild mountain goats, thriving ecosystems of wildlife, and castles and other ancient monuments, among other things.
Harlech Castle
Our first stop is to one of our favourite castles in the whole of the UK: Harlech Castle. It boasts epic sea views and an amazing war-torn history that involves a lot of dynamite. Intrigued to know more? Take some time to explore this incredible monument before we jump back on the bus and head for our next destination.
Portmeirion
We venture to one of the most charming and unique villages in Wales, Portmeirion. This town is the brainchild of Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis. He wanted to demonstrate how a naturally beautiful location could be developed without spoiling it. The result is a stunning piece of the Mediterranean transported into North Wales. You have free time here to explore and grab a bite to eat.
Free evening in Llandudno
Back on the bus, it's time for a scenic drive back to your accommodation. And as you wandered the promenade last night, as you munched on some local cuisine, did you wish you had more time in Llandudno? Good news, you'll head back there for another night tonight and get to know this gorgeous seaside town even better. As we make our way back to Llandudno, we'll make a few stops here and there depending on the group.

Chester
Eryri National Park, Llanberis Slate Museum
The adventure continues and today you have the pleasure of visiting two countries in one day. After breakfast, a sleepy Eryri National Park greets you with a quiet morning hug and more of its best-of-the-best views, including the glistening Lake Padarn and other spectacular scenery. Our first big stop of the day is at Llanberis Slate Museum. The history of the second largest slate mine on the planet will stay in your memory for a long time and its Victorian workshops once employed over 3000 men.
Lunch in Llangollen
There's more beauty than you're prepared for here in Wales, including the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley which is our next destination. We stop in the little town of Llangollen, situated along the quiet River Dee and backed by beautiful hill ranges. Have a wander, grab a bite to eat at one of the many cafes and restaurants, and fuel up for the rest of the day.
Chester, England
It's time to say farewell to Wales for now (or ffarwel in their local language) as we head back into England to visit one of the country's most historic towns, Chester. It has the most complete city walls in Britain, not to mention the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre. And then there's the 1000-year-old cathedral brimming with medieval carvings. There's plenty to do here, but we'd advise you to head to the Cathedral, because you could spend a whole week in this fine building and not get bored.
Chester to Manchester
There are quite a few new memories for you now, aren't there? Memories make the best souvenirs. The question is: which story will you tell your friends and family first when you get home? You'll have time to reminisce on your favourite moments as we head back to Manchester, where we arrive in the early evening.
We're very proud of our tours - but don't just take our word for it. Read our verified Trustpilot reviews below.

England’s weather is delightfully varied, offering a unique experience in every season. Spring and summer bring blooming countryside and sunny afternoons, while autumn and winter add a cozy, atmospheric charm to historic towns and rolling landscapes. Rain or shine, England’s beauty and rich heritage make it an unforgettable destination!
Spring (March - May)
Spring weather in England is wonderfully unpredictable! You’ll experience a mix of crisp, frosty mornings and pleasantly warm afternoons. Expect temperatures ranging from 48-60°F (9-16°C), with occasional rain showers that help the countryside burst into vibrant bloom. Humidity levels are moderate, sitting between 50-80%, with average rainfall of 1.65-2.77 inches per month.
Summer (June - August)
Summers in England are mild and pleasant, with temperatures typically ranging from 50-77°F (10-25°C). While you’ll enjoy sunny days, light rain showers are common. The humidity level hovers between 50-80%, and average rainfall is around 2 inches per month, so packing a light rain jacket is always wise!
Autumn (September - November)
Autumn brings cooler temperatures and stunning landscapes as the leaves turn gold, amber, and red. Temperatures range from 48-60°F (9-16°C) in early autumn and drop further as the season progresses. You’ll encounter breezy, damp days and occasional sunshine, along with similar rainfall levels to spring and summer.
Winter (December - February)
Winters in England are generally mild compared to many other regions, with temperatures averaging around 35-50°F (2-10°C). Frosty mornings and rain showers are common, but snowfall is usually light and infrequent. With moderate humidity levels and rain likely, dressing in layers and waterproofs is key for staying comfortable.

The UK and Ireland's historic city centres are full of narrow streets and winding roads. So, to speed up your departure, we only pick up from our central meeting points. What's more is leaving the city using the most direct route also reduces the carbon footprint of our tours.
We don't recommend bringing your car into the centre of our departure cities. It can be hard to find parking, and there are excellent public transportation services.
Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Due to waiting restrictions, we can't wait for you if you're late.
Entry requirements vary depending on your nationality, personal circumstances, and the country or countries you will travel to and transit through. It is your responsibility to ensure you have all relevant documentation required for your selected itinerary and that you meet all formal entry requirements before travelling.
You can find up-to-date and reliable information on the official tourism website of the counties you’re visiting, or from their embassy or consulate.
If you're late for your tour, our cancellation policy applies. 100% charges are applicable, and you will not be entitled to a refund or alternative.

It's simple: you book, you go. This means we'll never cancel your tour because of a minimum numbers policy.
Due to logistical reasons, we're unable to let you pre-book a seat on the bus. But our comfortable 16-seat mini-coaches have huge windows. So, you'll always get a good view.
We like to keep our coaches small and nimble. This means we have no on-board toilet facilities, but you frequently stop in local towns and villages for comfort breaks.
We regret we don't carry children under the age of five on our scheduled tours. Also, some of our tours that focus on whisky experiences are suitable for travellers aged 18+.
You can ask us about the tours we recommend for younger children. And if your child is less than 1.35m tall, you should let us know, so we can provide them with a suitable booster seat.
We want you to enjoy every country you visit with us. And we believe the best way to do this is to get you off the mini-coach and out exploring. So, we give you plenty of time to take photos, go walking, and explore ancient ruins.

You don't need to. We stop in small towns, villages, and rural eateries where you can choose whatever meal pleases both your taste buds and your budget.
