Picture the beauty of the Cotswolds. Cobbled streets and honey-soaked stone cottages. Pubs work more wrinkles and stories than your grandpa. Yet beneath this charm lies a turbulent past. Listen closely, the Cotswolds whisper of battles once fought. Don't let the ivy-covered walls fool you. Sometimes the most beautiful things are the most dangerous... And then there's Oxford, a city of spires and cathedrals, as inspirational as it is fascinating... and it’s waiting for you.

Like something out of a fantasy movie, this dreamy hamlet is arguably the most charming village view in all of England... what do you think?

Some things never change… and isn't that wonderful! This charming village has remained the same for centuries with a beauty that endures the years.

One of the world’s finest museums, the Ashmolean at Oxford University boasts rich, diverse collections of art and archaeology from around the globe.

The only college that’s also a cathedral, Oxford’s Christ Church features grand architecture you might recognise from Harry Potter.

Known as the city of dreaming spires, Oxford boasts Britain’s oldest university, Gothic quadrangles, cobbled lanes, lush gardens and canals.

A maze of old stone bridges and postcard villages shoulder this peaceful river, adding to the beauty of every location.

Journey to Oxford
Leaving Bristol behind, you travel through the rolling chalk hills of the Wessex Downs - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - to Oxford.
Free time in Oxford
You have the full morning to explore Oxford. There is so much to discover, in this city famous for its Gothic architecture, and home to the oldest university in the UK. You might wander the canal and soak up the luscious scenery, or you'll explore the alleyways filled with treasure-trove shops and great cafes. But, most of all, you'll marvel at its architecture and history of this collegiate town. From Christ Church College and Cathedral to the dusty tomes slumbering at Bodleian Library, Oxford is impossible to ignore.
The Cotswolds Villages
Your journey continues deeper into the Cotswolds. Famous for charming villages nestled between the rolling hills, characterised by thatched cottages and traditional markets, today you're here to take in some of the regions prettiest towns. First, you'll visit Burford, the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds'. One of the historic market towns in the area, here you can stroll along the quaint streets and enjoy the local hospitality. Then, onto Bibury, on the banks of the River Coln; this village is famous for the 17th-century stone cottages and winding lanes. You have time here to stroll to the famous and fairytale-like Arlington Row.

England’s weather is delightfully varied, offering a unique experience in every season. Spring and summer bring blooming countryside and sunny afternoons, while autumn and winter add a cozy, atmospheric charm to historic towns and rolling landscapes. Rain or shine, England’s beauty and rich heritage make it an unforgettable destination!
Spring (March - May)
Spring weather in England is wonderfully unpredictable! You’ll experience a mix of crisp, frosty mornings and pleasantly warm afternoons. Expect temperatures ranging from 48-60°F (9-16°C), with occasional rain showers that help the countryside burst into vibrant bloom. Humidity levels are moderate, sitting between 50-80%, with average rainfall of 1.65-2.77 inches per month.
Summer (June - August)
Summers in England are mild and pleasant, with temperatures typically ranging from 50-77°F (10-25°C). While you’ll enjoy sunny days, light rain showers are common. The humidity level hovers between 50-80%, and average rainfall is around 2 inches per month, so packing a light rain jacket is always wise!
Autumn (September - November)
Autumn brings cooler temperatures and stunning landscapes as the leaves turn gold, amber, and red. Temperatures range from 48-60°F (9-16°C) in early autumn and drop further as the season progresses. You’ll encounter breezy, damp days and occasional sunshine, along with similar rainfall levels to spring and summer.
Winter (December - February)
Winters in England are generally mild compared to many other regions, with temperatures averaging around 35-50°F (2-10°C). Frosty mornings and rain showers are common, but snowfall is usually light and infrequent. With moderate humidity levels and rain likely, dressing in layers and waterproofs is key for staying comfortable.

The UK and Ireland's historic city centres are full of narrow streets and winding roads. So, to speed up your departure, we only pick up from our central meeting points. What's more is leaving the city using the most direct route also reduces the carbon footprint of our tours.
We don't recommend bringing your car into the centre of our departure cities. It can be hard to find parking, and there are excellent public transportation services.
Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Due to waiting restrictions, we can't wait for you if you're late.
Entry requirements vary depending on your nationality, personal circumstances, and the country or countries you will travel to and transit through. It is your responsibility to ensure you have all relevant documentation required for your selected itinerary and that you meet all formal entry requirements before travelling.
You can find up-to-date and reliable information on the official tourism website of the counties you’re visiting, or from their embassy or consulate.
If you're late for your tour, our cancellation policy applies. 100% charges are applicable, and you will not be entitled to a refund or alternative.

Package tours
You'll receive a 90% refund if you cancel 56 days or more before the tour departure.

It's simple: you book, you go. This means we'll never cancel your tour because of a minimum numbers policy.
Due to logistical reasons, we're unable to let you pre-book a seat on the bus. But our comfortable 16-seat mini-coaches have huge windows. So, you'll always get a good view.
We like to keep our coaches small and nimble. This means we have no on-board toilet facilities, but you frequently stop in local towns and villages for comfort breaks.
We regret we don't carry children under the age of five on our scheduled tours. Also, some of our tours that focus on whisky experiences are suitable for travellers aged 18+.
You can ask us about the tours we recommend for younger children. And if your child is less than 1.35m tall, you should let us know, so we can provide them with a suitable booster seat.
We want you to enjoy every country you visit with us. And we believe the best way to do this is to get you off the mini-coach and out exploring. So, we give you plenty of time to take photos, go walking, and explore ancient ruins.
We exclude visitor attractions in your tour price because it lets you travel your way. It means you can pamper yourself with a luxury lunch or skip an attraction whenever you feel like it.
You don't need to. We stop in small towns, villages, and rural eateries where you can choose whatever meal pleases both your taste buds and your budget.
Let's be honest, our driver-guides would never refuse a cheeky bonus. But it's up to you, and the amount is entirely at your discretion.
We advise you take out travel insurance.
