2026 FAQs
Do I need a visa to travel to Europe?
If travelling from the UK or USA, currently you don’t need a visa for a short term stay in a European country within the agreed Schengen Area. This means as a tourist, you can stay for 90 days or less in a 180-day period. This being said, there are certain regulations you do need to consider before flying such as, the remaining period left on your passport before expiry. If in doubt, you can head to the GOV.UK website or travel.state.gov, which will be able to help advise you further.
Do people speak English in Europe?
English is widely spoken in major cities and tourist areas across Europe, especially in countries like the UK, Ireland, and Switzerland. In rural regions or smaller towns, locals may speak less English, so learning a few basic phrases in the local language can go a long way and is always appreciated.
All of Rabbie's tours are conducted in English, so you don’t need to worry about any language barriers!
How do I get around Europe easily?
Europe has excellent transport links, including high-speed trains, budget airlines, and extensive bus networks, making it easy to travel between countries and cities. But with a Rabbie’s tour, you don’t have to worry about planning or navigating - our comfortable, modern coaches take you everywhere, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey.
Is accommodation included in the tour price?
Our UK and Ireland tours exclude accommodation. When you book your tour, you can ask us to reserve accommodation for you, or if you prefer, you can make your own overnight arrangements. All of our Italy & Switzerland package holidays include pre-booked accommodation in the tour price. We’ve hand-picked three and four star hotels in remote coastal villages, bustling towns, and mountain valleys.
Where can I book my tour?
You can book a Rabbie’s tour online, by email, over the phone, and in various Tourist Information Centres and hotels.
Do I need to book my tour in advance?
We always recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred dates and avoid missing out, especially for spring and summer tours, as these are our peak seasons
How can I book attractions for the tour?
You can book certain attractions before the tour departs. These prices are separate from the cost of the tour and can be added on during check-out. Please note some attractions can only be purchased while on tour.
Should I take out travel insurance?
We always advise you to take out travel insurance.

What are the driver guides like?
We regularly receive positive feedback about our Driver Guides - they make Rabbie's tours extra special because of who they are. No two Driver Guides are the same and so no two tours will be the same. Our Guides contribute their knowledge and experience and listen to what you want to know in order to make your tour as personal as possible.
Some Driver Guides love to tell tales of ancient myths as if they lived it themselves, others know the rock types and age of every mountain, and every one of them wants to make you love their country as much as they do!
