You stop on the way at Runnymede for some refreshments and a walk through a peaceful meadow which witnessed one of history’s most important events: the sealing of the Magna Carta by King John of England. This document started as a peace treaty between a king and his rebellious barons, but it went on to become the foundation of human rights around the world.
Stonehenge & Winchester
Your second stop is one of the most puzzling structures in Britain; Stonehenge. Was it an ancient temple, an astronomical calendar, or perhaps the work of Merlin's magic?
