Bath to Salisbury
Today is a day of history: both man-made and natural. Leaving Bath behind, today you travel south in search of scenic landscapes and historic towns. The first stop of today is the medieval city of Salisbury, best known for the cathedral and rich cultural history.
Free time in Salisbury
You spend your morning uncovering the historic sites and stories that Salisbury has to offer. There is plenty of time to visit the iconic Salisbury Cathedral, where you can see an original copy of the Magna Carta; or perhaps you'll prefer exploring the Old Town, losing yourself in cobbled streets and traditional market square.
Lulworth Cove/Durdle Door - Jurassic Coast
After your morning in the historic city, it's off to the coast for some sea air. Your driver-guide will take you along the road to Durdle Door, one of the region's most well-known landmarks. There's time to explore and take pictures of the iconic limestone arch from the cliffs, or you can make your way down to the sandy beach. From here, it's a short drive to Lulworth Cove, another unique geological wonder; here, you can have a seaside lunch as you enjoy the pebbled beach and secluded bay.
Glastonbury and return to Bath
As the day draws to a close, there is still time for a final stop in Somerset. You will visit the historic city Glastonbury for a final coffee break. You may know Glastonbury best for the famous music festival held every summer, but did you know that this is also a possible burial place of King Arthur? Your driver-guide will regale you with a myth or two, before returning to Bath in the early evening.
You return to Bath at approximately 6.45pm.
