2026 Scottish Highlands Walking Route Changes
Due to the impact of recent wildfires in Glen Feshie, sections of the original Uath Lochans route are currently inaccessible. As a result, our 2026 walk will follow a modified route that avoids the affected area and does not include the ascent to Farleitter Crag.
While the route has changed, guests will still enjoy a rewarding guided walk through the beautiful Uath Lochans area. The experience includes peaceful woodland trails, tranquil loch-side scenery, and opportunities to spot local wildlife such as red squirrels and birds of prey. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the area's ecology, conservation work, and the recovery of these important Highland habitats.
Although the Farleitter Crag viewpoint is unavailable, the revised route continues to showcase the distinctive landscapes of Glen Feshie and provides an excellent introduction to one of the Cairngorms' most treasured natural environments. The route may be adjusted further if conditions or conservation requirements change.
