What our customers say about our Scotland mountain tours
Which Scottish mountains can I visit on a Rabbie’s tour?
Our tours take you through some of the best mountain ranges in Scotland. In the Highlands, you'll pass Glencoe's dramatic peaks and the Cairngorms' rolling summits. Head west and the road climbs into Torridon's ancient sandstone giants, while over on Skye, the Cuillins and the Old Man of Storr rise straight from the sea.
What is the highest mountain in Scotland?
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland and the UK, standing at 1,345 metres near Fort William. Several of our Highland tours pass right beneath it, giving you a proper look at its scale, though a full ascent isn't included in the itinerary.
What fitness level is required for a tour of the Scottish mountains?
You won't be climbing any summits with us. Most days are spent travelling by mini-coach, with regular stops for short walks, photographs and viewpoints rather than full days on foot. This makes our tours suitable for most fitness levels, including those who prefer gentler walks. If you're moving a little slower, your driver-guide will keep an eye on timings and adjust stops so nobody feels rushed or left behind.
From day trips to overnight expeditions
Our Scottish mountain tours range from a single day out to a 17-day journey around Scotland. The longer you travel, the more mountain ranges in Scotland you'll see, from Glencoe and the Cairngorms to Torridon and Skye. On multi-day tours, you'll stay in small, locally owned accommodation along the way.
What’s included in a Scottish mountain tour?
Your tour includes travel in a 16-seat mini-coach, an expert driver-guide who will share all of their inside knowledge, and pick-up and drop-off at your departure point. Accommodation on multi-day tours isn't included in the price, but we can book it for you through Reserved by Rabbie's, with payment made either at checkout or check-in.
Where you’ll set off from
You can join a Scottish mountain tour from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, London or Manchester, letting you enjoy these magnificent peaks wherever you're travelling from. Pick-up points and departure times are listed on each tour page. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before departure, as we leave promptly and can't wait for late arrivals.
