What’s included in the tours?
Every castle tour in Scotland includes expert knowledge from your driver-guide and travel in our mini-coach throughout. Day tours usually cover entrance fees to the key castles you visit, while on multi-day trips, some castle entries are included and others are optional extras paid locally, so you only pay for what you want to see. Check your specific tour page for a full breakdown of what’s included.
How long are your Scottish castle tours?
Our Scottish castle tours run from single days out to 17-day adventures across the country. Choose a one-day trip if you're short on time, or a longer, multi-day journey that reaches further into the Highlands, islands and beyond, with more castles, lochs and stories along the way.
Is accommodation included on overnight tours?
Accommodation isn't included in your tour price, but we can arrange it for you. Pick your room and pay in advance, or reserve now and settle up at your overnight stop. Wherever you choose, breakfast is included. Find out more about our accommodation options or speak to a member of our team for more help.
Where does your Scottish castle adventure begin?
You can join a Scottish castle tour from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness or Aberdeen. Exact pick-up points and departure times are listed on each specific tour page, so check these carefully before you travel. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the departure time for check-in and luggage loading, as we can’t wait for late arrivals.
What fitness level is required for these tours?
Most castles involve some walking on uneven ground, and many have steep, narrow stairs to climb. However, if stairs aren’t for you, you can usually admire a castle's exterior and grounds without going inside.
Why choose a Rabbie’s Scotland castle tour?
A Rabbie's Scotland castle tour gives you access to storyteller driver-guides who know the history behind each castle, from when it was built to who ruled there. Our small 16-seat mini-coaches reach places big buses can't, and no minimum numbers mean your tour always goes ahead. We also donate to environmental and community projects for every tonne of carbon we produce, helping to preserve the places that we visit.
