Have you seen our 2 -3 day Glasgow tours?

The places you’ll discover on a 2 or 3-day Scotland tour from Glasgow

Your journey unfolds through Loch Lomond's bonnie banks, Glencoe's volcanic valley and the Great Glen towards Loch Ness. A 2-day tour from Glasgow takes you through the iconic Highland landscapes, adds a magical ride on the Jacobite Steam Train and one night in the remote village of Mallaig. While our 3-day tours from Glasgow venture onto the Isle of Skye, where you'll witness the Old Man of Storr rising from the mist, walk around the Fairy Glen (weather permitting), and stand at Kilt Rock's dizzying cliffs. Expect regular comfort stops, optional castle visits, distillery tastings, and time off the mini-coach to explore at your own pace.

Is 2-3 days enough to see Scotland properly?

You could spend a lifetime here and still find hidden corners. But two or three days lets you experience the Highlands' greatest treasures without feeling like you've just ticked boxes. Our 2-day tour from Glasgow gives you a great taste of lochs, glens and Highland drama. Stretch to a 3-day tour from Glasgow, and you'll reach Skye's otherworldly landscapes, with time to actually feel the place rather than just photograph it.

What’s included on a 2 or 3-day tour from Glasgow?

Your tour fare covers comfortable transport in a 16-seat mini-coach, an expert driver-guide who brings landscapes to life with stories rather than scripts, and no minimum numbers (you book, you go, even if you're the only traveller). Accommodation costs for overnight stays, meals (breakfast often comes with your room), and entry fees to castles or attractions like Eilean Donan, Dunvegan or Urquhart Castle aren’t usually included, allowing you the freedom to tailor your trip. However, on some 2-3 day tours from Glasgow, you can reserve accommodation and pay for it as part of your booking. Optional activities, such as Loch Ness cruises or distillery tours, are paid for locally, so you only spend on the experiences you actually want to do.

Where you'll sleep

We work with small, locally owned B&Bs, guest houses and hotels rather than large chains, so you experience genuine Highland hospitality. Most properties offer comfortable en-suite rooms, cooked breakfasts, and hosts who know which pub serves the best fish and chips. Solo travellers get single rooms or doubles for single use, and are never forced to share with strangers, though this may impact the cost.

For 3-day tours from Glasgow, you typically stay on Skye near Portree or Broadford. On our 2-day tour from Glasgow, you’ll spend the night in the remote fishing village of Mallaig in the Highlands.

The people you'll travel with

Your small group fits comfortably in a 16-seat mini-coach, meaning you're never jostling for space or waiting ages for everyone to reboard. Fewer people means quicker photo stops, easier conversations, and the flexibility to adjust plans if the weather turns or someone spots a Highland cow. Your driver-guide handles both the steering and the storytelling, sharing local knowledge that goes beyond guidebook facts.

Where your tour begins

All 2 and 3-day tours from Glasgow depart from Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station (Stance between 23 to 32), which is within walking distance of major hotels and transport links. Tours usually leave between 8.00 and 9.00 in the morning. The exact time will be communicated on your booking confirmation. We advise that you arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and luggage loading. You'll return to Glasgow in the early evening on your final day, usually between 18.00 and 20.00, though traffic and weather can shift this, so it’s best to avoid tight same-evening flight or train connections.

Why book a 2-3 day Scotland tour from Glasgow?

At Rabbie’s, we’re passionate about showing people Scotland the way locals experience it, not the way big bus tours process it. This spirit is reflected in every trip. You travel along small roads that coaches can't reach, stop at bakeries that actually bake their own scones, and hear stories that make ancient battlefields feel immediate. Our guides are storytellers who've spent years exploring these locations, not script-readers ticking off facts.

No minimum numbers means our tours will not be cancelled due to low bookings. Even if you’re the only one on the tour, you’ll go, experiencing an exclusive, personal experience. Plus, for every tonne of carbon our tours produce, we donate to environmental and community projects, helping protect the places you’ve come to explore. It’s part of our commitment to responsible travel, ensuring your journey through Scotland leaves a positive impact long after the trip ends.
