So join this half day tour and indulge in the mystery, beauty, and history of Scotland.
Students, seniors over 60, and children between 5 and 15 (unfortunately, we don't carry children under 5 years old)
Your tour takes you south to the beautiful Scott’s View. You also get the opportunity to visit the nearby statue of the great Scottish patriot, William Wallace.
From here, you travel to Melrose with the opportunity to explore its great abbey, founded by the Cistercians in the 12th Century. The Cistercian monks had very close connections with the Knights Templar and Melrose Abbey is the burial place of Robert the Bruce's heart, brought back from the crusades in Moorish Spain.
Following lunch in Melrose you make your way to the stunning 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, immortalised in Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code”. You get time to explore the chapel and find out more about the myths and legends surrounding the whereabouts of the “Holy Grail”.
From here you return to Edinburgh.
Dear Gillian, You are a great guide and we enjoyed meeting you so much. You are the heart of Scotland for sure. You took the time to talk with me about various Scottish things I wanted to know. It meant so much. My friend and I had to take another type tour on a big bus once, it was not the same as a rabbie tour. When I can, I will be back. If I could get my family moved to Scotland I would. Your tours are the best way to see Scotland and learn the history. Suzanne , from the U.S.
We went on this tour with Emily (the best tourgide) the day before we went to the Islay also with Emily ) Like on all other Tours we started in a new clean an comfortable bus. Emily showed us very nice places and tould us a lot about the scottish history. We had such a wonderful time in scotland! Many greetings from germany!
We had a wonderful tour with Heather as our guide. A great guide attuned to the guests wishes with a great knowledge. Had a great time and learned lots. Thanks and we would return and recommend in a second. Boyd and Heather.
This tour was awesome and once again loved it. Eddie was a great tour guide and the places we saw were just unreal! I would suggest this to anyone and I would even do it again next time I am in Scotland!
I would like to take the DaVinci Code Roslyn tour however I am staying in Glasgow. Could someone give me advice on how to get from the Glasgow airport too Edinburgh.Easy travel as I will have a suitcase.
I never really contribute my opinion to these types of things but my experience was so memorable thanks to our amazing tour guide and I had to come on here and give her some credit. I was on a 2 week trip across the UK and spent 3 days in Scotland with my boyfriend and we loved our tour guide for the Scottish Borders Tour. She told us the Story of Mary Queen of Scotts and the Drive and played Scottish music on the bus. I had been on many tours during this trip and hers was the one that stands out by far. She even told me where I could find the cd she played on the bus! I bought 2 of them. We loved Sarah! And Scotland!
Rabbie's keeps their word, if you book you go. I booked this tour and was the only passenger. I had to go as I was leaving the next day. I had my own personal tour. Richard, I don't know how you know and remember all that you do, but I learned so much on this tour and my tour on Monday. I loved Melrose and Rosslyn, this was my favourite tour. You are fantastic! and I enjoyed listening to your stories and all the information you imparted. I would love to come back on day and take a tour of the islands. Thank you all so much for making this special holiday a dream come true (my 23 year old daughter saved for the last three years to send me on this trip for my 50th birthday). I will have special memories and joy as I think on all that I did, for the rest of my life. Heidi ps will upload pictures once I get them organized.
Great tour, Bob was a great guide very colorful stories we enjoyed every minute of it
Big thank you to Bob, for a great day at Rosslyn Chapel and the Borders. The whole trip was a wonderful day out (in spite of the slightly dodgy weather), and Bob was professional, fun and informative. Would definintely recommend this trip, and Rabbies ... and Bob, of course. Thank you!
Had an absolutely fantastic day with our guide Helen. Helen was informative, very funny and gave us some insight into her passion for the border districts. We feel very priviledged to have been on this tour and loved the banter and playfulness! So good, Rabbies is lucky to have you! Hope you enjoy your fried haggis and a few scotches tonight! Love ya guts Dave
