Rabbie's are celebrating being named as winners of the UK's highest accolade for business success – A Queen's Award for enterprise in International Trade.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you for choosing to tour with Rabbie's. Your business has helped us to increase sales and develop and expand our touring products, which the Queen's Award have recognised as an outstanding example of international trade. We are absolutely thrilled with this accolade!
In 1993, Robin set up Rabbie's with the ambition to enable people to experience the stunning scenery and remarkable history of our country. More than 20 years later, we are extremely proud that we are continuing to attract increasing numbers of overseas visitors.
Robin will be heading to Buckingham Palace later in the year to receive the award from the Queen.

We are Edinburgh's very first tour company to achieve this award in recognition of our high standards of care to you. We are now the only 5 Star tour company to guarantee you a small group experience with a maximum of 16 passengers because we believe the personal touch is best.

We received reaccreditation in the Dairy Crest Rural Action Award for our Small Group Sustainable Touring. In the past year Rabbie’s tours have generated over £2 million for the rural economy, while also growing the business in a sustainable way. We have now held a Big Tick award for 4 years in a row.

Rabbie's has once again being awarded a VisitScotland Thistle award for excellence in the National Scottish Tourism Oscars.
Energy Saving Trust -
FuelGood fuel efficient driver training
We have recently put 44 of our drivers through FuelGood fuel efficient driver training. FuelGood Eco driving training is run by Transport Scotland and delivered by Energy Saving Trust. Our drivers clock up over 2.5 million kilometres a year between them. Based on these results we aim to cut our carbon emissions by 121.25 tonnes by continuing to use FuelGood techniques.

Rabbie's Small Group Tours in Edinburgh won the Management (SME) Award at this year’s VIBES Awards ceremony which was held at The Hub in Edinburgh.
For 14 years, the Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland Awards (VIBES) has recognised the commitment, actions and achievements of Scottish companies in reducing their impact on the environment.

These are the in UK’s longest-running and most respected, responsible business awards and we won the Dairy Crest Rural Action Award for our approach to sustainable development in the rural communities we visit on tour.

Now in their third year these annual awards aim to honour those businesses and organisations that have done the most to promote sustainability within the industry by implementing cost-saving practices that help the environment, improve customer services and benefit the bottom line.
Scottish Business in the Community - 2012 SME of the Year
Rabbie's were presented with Scottish Business in the Community's highly prized 2012 Award for Small to Medium Size Enterprise of the Year by Prince Charles. We were honoured to receive this award for the second time at the 30th Anniversary Scottish Business in the Community (SBC) Awards for Excellence Dinner, which took place at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh on Wednesday 9 May 2012. Once again Rabbie's has been awarded a VisitScotland Thistle award for excellence in the South East of Scotland Regional Finals of the Scottish Tourism Oscars. The 4 Scotland regional finalists will find out who is the national winner in November 2012. Fingers crossed.

Outstanding example of Sustainable and Responsible Tour Operator
Specialist operator of small group tours and experiences, Rabbie’s Trail Burners has received Europeanwide recognition, named an ‘Outstanding Example’ of a Sustainable and Responsible Tour Operator‘, in the internationally respected VESTAS (Vision European Sustainable Tourism Awards). Promoting good practice throughout the industry, the VESTA judges distinguished Rabbie’s Trail Burners as the only tour operator in the final stages of the award process to receive the ‘Outstanding Example’ accolade, awarded to the top 12 ‘best of the best’ of the original 95 nominations.

Climate Change Award - Business in the Community
Rabbie's Trail Burners are proud recipients of the "Big Tick" Bank of America Merrill Lynch Climate Change Award for developing a KPI to drive both carbon reduction and business profitability, recognising best practice from companies around the world.

Rabbie's Trail Burners were presented with Scottish Business in the Community's Award for SME of the year by Prince Charles. Scottish Business in the Community is one of the Prince's Charities in Scotland, supporting and challenging private sector members to improve their impacts in the workplace, marketplace, community and environment.

Scottish Thistle Awards Winner 2008 - People Development
We were honoured with another great award in the large tourism business category. The judges said "The Rabbie’s Promise to customers is to deliver a unique and memorable experience of Scotland. The promise is consolidated through the company’s passion for its staff and their development..."
We were announced Scottish Thistle winners of the inaugural Sustainable Tourism award at a glittering gala dinner on 26th October 2007 held at Edinburgh's International Conference Centre in front of 850 people.
Keep Edinburgh Clean Award
Another environmental excellence award this time awarded for what we do in and around our Edinburgh headquarters. For example in May 2007 all the staff got together to clear out debris from a stretch of the local river - the Water of Leith - leaving it better for the residents of the city.
