Itinerario

Giorno 1

Itinerario (English)

Day 1

  • Gaze in wonder at the largest stone circle in the world, a powerful testament to prehistoric man’s determination and organisation
  • Explore the village of Lacock and its pretty streets and famous locations, such as its celebrated oddity of an Abbey
  • Soak in the warm tones of the honey-coloured bricks in Bath, a city made famous by the purity of its water and excellent bathhouses in Roman times

Leaving the great city of London, the tour heads west to arrive at the pretty village of Avebury. Wander amongst the majesty of the largest stone circle in the world, a part of a World Heritage Site. A little way from here is the hillside where the Cherhill White Horse lays, a figure of a huge white horse cut into the chalk by the “Mad Doctor” in the 18th century.

Further along the road in rural Wiltshire lies Lacock, a village famous for its picturesque streets, historic buildings and significant role as a film and television location. The centerpiece is the Abbey in the middle of the village, a unique country house with a renowned mixture of architectural styles.

You then head to Bath, a city of relics and incredible design that is home to a Roman founded spring and bathhouses. Turning to the very heart of the Cotswolds, you proceed to the quintessentially English town of Cirencester, once the second largest town in Roman-occupied Britain.

Day 2

  • Wander between the narrow alleys and neatly arranged 16th century cottages of Bibury
  • Discover what Downton Abbey life might be like in the modern day, as you visit one of its most frequently used village locations
  • Explore one of Harry Potter’s most prominent settings as you wander Oxford, home to some of the most iconic educational institutions in the world

Discovering the quiet wonder of the Cotswold scenery is the main purpose of your day today. Visiting the picturesque village of Bibury is first on your agenda, with its phenomenally maintained 16th century cottages.

You proceed to Stow-on-the-Wold, a market town perched on an 800ft hill and packed with traditional houses. En route to Oxford, we visit Bampton, the village featured prominently in the TV series Downton Abbey.

After enjoying the sights of celebrity, it’s on to the home of the cerebral: Oxford. Renowned for its more than 900 years as a centre of academic excellence and its world famous university, it is also a place of great beauty and fabulous structures. Keen Harry Potter fans will be able to spot many locations when they visit Christ Church, with the grandeur of the Great Hall especially familiar to those who may have always wanted to visit Hogwarts. As the evening draws in, you return to London.

I was treated to an amazing 2-day of The Cotswolds, Bath and Oxford and surrounding area. Our guide, Dan, is without a doubt the best in the business. Outgoing, knowledgeable, patient and fun! You can look but youll find none better. The sights we witnessed were breathtakingly beautiful and the relaxed pace of a small size tour made this experience one to be treasured. Highly recommended!

We had a most wonderful time on our tour. Our guide John Gannon was very knowledgeable and patient. Avebury was quaint and walking in the fields with the sheep was a great experience. John started at a time to make sure we saw Bibury early in The morning and we were the first ones there . It was peaceful and lovely. We highly recommend Rabbies !

Very good driver, socially intermangel, and highly polite and respectful. I am sure you know, that He is an Asset to the company. For our next visit to GB we are definitely looking forward to have tours with your company. The tour itself was very much worth the price. Thank you Armen, Salpi LA, CA

It was a fantastic tour ! We saw many interesting places: incredible standing stones in Avebury, the charming medieval village of Lacock, full of history and magnicifent architecture in Bath. We stayed in Cirencester for the night ( The Old Bungalow Guest House was great) . Cirencester is also a place worth to see. The next day, we saw the absolutely fabulous Bibury, lovely Stow-on-the-Wold and Oxford at the end. Oxford is a city full of attractions - everybody can find here something interesting for themself. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.

My friend and I enjoyed the tour with Jamie thoroughly. He took good care of all of us and was essential in providing a personal touch to the tour by taking time to speak to each of us and making sure we were comfortable. His funny commentaries gave a touch of humour to the informative talk about the different regions as well.

Great first trip with Rabbies, I was excited to continue to use them when I arrived in Scotland. Glen did a great job despite a few minor hiccups that were out of his control. I had a great time while exploring this area with my best friend.

L'autista ti lascerà all'alloggio prescelto purché sia relativamente centrale.

Domande Frequenti

Do you offer hotel pickups in the departure cities?

The UK and Ireland's historic city centres are full of narrow streets and winding roads. So, to speed up your departure, we only pick up from our central meeting points. What's more is leaving the city using the most direct route also reduces the carbon footprint of our tours.

Is there parking close to the departure point?

We don't recommend bringing your car into the centre of our departure cities. It can be hard to find parking, and there are excellent public transportation services.

When should I get to the departure point?

Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Due to waiting restrictions, we can't wait for you if you're late.

What happens if I'm late or miss the tour?

If you're late for your tour, our cancellation policy applies.

What are your cancellation policies?

We have a cancellation period of three days for our one day tours, and 21 days for longer tours. If cancelled outside this period, we'll give you a full refund minus a 10% admin charge. If you cancel inside this period, refunds are at our discretion. Click here to view full terms and conditions.

What is a guaranteed departure?

It's simple: you book, you go. This means we'll never cancel your tour because of a minimum numbers policy.

Can I pre-book a specific seat?

Due to logistical reasons, we're unable to let you pre-book a seat on the bus. But our comfortable 16-seat mini-coaches have huge windows. So, you'll always get a good view.

Are there toilets on the bus?

Unfortunately, we have no on-board toilet facilities, but you'll have regular comfort breaks.

How do you cater for people with accessibility needs?

We aim to accommodate everyone. To read more information on how we do this, click here to go to our accessibility guide.

Do you take children on your tours?

We regret we don't carry children under the age of five on our scheduled tours.

You can ask us about the tours we recommend for younger children. And if your child is less than 1.35m tall, you should let us know, so we can provide them with a suitable booster seat.

How much time do I get off the bus?

We want you to enjoy Britain and Ireland. And we believe the best way to do this is to get you off the mini-coach and out exploring. So, we give you plenty of time to take photos, go walking, and explore ancient ruins.

Why do you exclude visitor attractions?

We exclude visitor attractions in your tour price because it lets you travel your way. It means you can pamper yourself with a luxury lunch or skip an attraction whenever you feel like it.

Do we need to bring our own lunch?

You don't need to. We stop in small towns, villages, and rural eateries where you can choose whatever meal pleases both your taste buds and your budget.

Should I tip the driver-guide?

Let's be honest, our driver-guides would never refuse a cheeky bonus. But it's up to you, and the amount is entirely at your discretion.

What about travel insurance?

We advise you take out travel insurance.

What is ABTOT?

You're protected by ABTOT when you chose to let us reserve your accommodation on a multi-day tour. This means you can claim back anything you've paid us if we become bankrupt. Read our terms and conditions for more information.

I have more questions, who can help me?
