Opiniones

The guide made this the best tour ever!

I thought that the scenery was going to be the highlight of this trip, but it was evident from the start that the views would only come second. The best part of this tour was the guide Iains knowledge about Scottish history and culture, and the humouristic commentary he made throuhout the way. He was not shy in expressing his opinions about politics either, which was refreshing. It was also great just to listen to the Scottish accent all day, which I happen to love :) Of course, the scenery was also absolutely stunning! I had been to Glencoe on a roadtrip before, but I have to say that with a knowledgeable guide the experience was so much deeper that just going by yourself. Glencoe is breathtakingly beautiful and the highlight of this tour. There were about 10 stops on the way, some only 10 minutes to take photos of castles and such, a couple of 30 minute breaks (villages of Luss Inverary, Glencoe). The lunch break in Oban lasted 1,5 hours, just enough to have the best mussels fish and chips ever, have a taste of whisky at Oban distillery and grab a delicious ice cream to eat in the bus. What I loved about this tour was that the scenery varied quite a lot and the stops were all different from each other: some were besides castles, some in valleys, some in villages, some beside a loch. I have to say that this tour changed my view about guided tours. In the future, I will definitely select tours with small buses and not big ones, and take more tours in general!

What an amazing day, The magic of Scotland

Miguel Posted on 10/03/2018

We are a young couple of spanish students and came to visit Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our host recommended us doing a Rabbies tour... and we couldn’t make a better decision!! We loved every moment of the tour... the wildness of the scottish landscapes and views, the beautiful lochs, the colours... And everything in perfect harmony thanks to our guide Fraser (or is it Frazer?). He did his best to make us enjoy our time, which he completely did. You can come here to Scotland and see Glasgow or Edinburgh but at the end they are “just” cities... if you want to see the TRUE and WILD Scotland just give a try to these tours. Thank you Rabbies!

Another great tour from Rabbies yesterday. Jim was very welcoming and friendly and was engaging with all the passenger. This is our third tour with yourselves and looking forward to booking my next soon. Well Done Rabbies.

A brilliant day with a fantastic guide

Ive just returned from a 1-day tour of Oban, Glencoe, West Highland Lochs Castles with Grant as our driver and guide. The tour was brilliant - incredible views, good stops, and what seemed like a lot packed in to a relatively short time, while keeping a very relaxed feel throughout the day. But what made the tour really stand out was the guide, Grant. Not only is he funny, likeable and easy to chat to, his knowledge is very impressive and he is a wonderful storyteller. He is a real credit to your company. Thank you for a great day today! I would recommend Rabbies without hesitation.

Best seafood and amazing sights tour

Gordon took us on this incredible day trip north. It was overall a long day, and well worth it! He got us off the bus as much as possible and we were thankful for that. We saw so many sights throughout the day. It was nice to stop in Inveraray for a walk around the village. We recommend the Loch of Fyne whisky and ice cream :-) The seafood in Oban is unparalleled. Truly the best oysters and mussels Ive had in my lifetime (and we live in a seaside town back home). The views in Glencoe were breathtaking. We got to see so much of the countryside and learn more about Scotland while listening to some fantastic music. Gordon - thank you for a wonderful tour and cheers!! Sincerely, Jennifer and Douglas Christy (Groton, CT, USA)

We had the good fortune to have Juliette as our guide for this day trip to the Highlands. She was witty, smart, accommodating and a wonderful driver! The information she shared really gave great insight into the history of Scotland. Time on and off for the coach was balanced and we had a amazing day! Two thumbs up, highly recommend!

My friend and I travelled to Oban from Glasgow with our driver/guide, Ian, on Tuesday 25th October. What a wonderful day we had. Ian was a very good driver and an excellent guide. This was the best British tour we have ever been on. Will recommend Rabbies to all our friends. Well done!

This tour was definitely the highlight of my trip to the UK/Ireland. We had such a good time. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We had a great day and got to see so many incredible sights. This tour is a must if youre visiting Scotland!

Preguntas Frecuentes

Do you offer hotel pickups in the departure cities?

The UK and Ireland's historic city centres are full of narrow streets and winding roads. So, to speed up your departure, we only pick up from our central meeting points. What's more is leaving the city using the most direct route also reduces the carbon footprint of our tours.

Is there parking close to the departure point?

We don't recommend bringing your car into the centre of our departure cities. It can be hard to find parking, and there are excellent public transportation services.

When should I get to the departure point?

Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Due to waiting restrictions, we can't wait for you if you're late.

What happens if I'm late or miss the tour?

If you're late for your tour, our cancellation policy applies.

What are your cancellation policies?

We have a cancellation period of three days for our one day tours, and 21 days for longer tours. If cancelled outside this period, we'll give you a full refund minus a 10% admin charge. If you cancel inside this period, refunds are at our discretion. Click here to view full terms and conditions.

What is a guaranteed departure?

It's simple: you book, you go. This means we'll never cancel your tour because of a minimum numbers policy.

Can I pre-book a specific seat?

Due to logistical reasons, we're unable to let you pre-book a seat on the bus. But our comfortable 16-seat mini-coaches have huge windows. So, you'll always get a good view.

Are there toilets on the bus?

Unfortunately, we have no on-board toilet facilities, but you'll have regular comfort breaks.

How do you cater for people with accessibility needs?

We aim to accommodate everyone. To read more information on how we do this, click here to go to our accessibility guide.

Do you take children on your tours?

We regret we don't carry children under the age of five on our scheduled tours.

You can ask us about the tours we recommend for younger children. And if your child is less than 1.35m tall, you should let us know, so we can provide them with a suitable booster seat.

How much time do I get off the bus?

We want you to enjoy Britain and Ireland. And we believe the best way to do this is to get you off the mini-coach and out exploring. So, we give you plenty of time to take photos, go walking, and explore ancient ruins.

Why do you exclude visitor attractions?

We exclude visitor attractions in your tour price because it lets you travel your way. It means you can pamper yourself with a luxury lunch or skip an attraction whenever you feel like it.

Do we need to bring our own lunch?

You don't need to. We stop in small towns, villages, and rural eateries where you can choose whatever meal pleases both your taste buds and your budget.

Should I tip the driver-guide?

Let's be honest, our driver-guides would never refuse a cheeky bonus. But it's up to you, and the amount is entirely at your discretion.

What about travel insurance?

We advise you take out travel insurance.

What is ABTOT?

You're protected by ABTOT when you chose to let us reserve your accommodation on a multi-day tour. This means you can claim back anything you've paid us if we become bankrupt. Read our terms and conditions for more information.
