Capture the Medieval spirit of Ireland on this adventure to two of Ireland’s greatest architectural marvels.
Rock of Cashel - This is not simply a religious complex. It’s a castle, a Neolithic site, a chapel, and an incredible view.
The Golden Vale - These beautiful rolling green fields are Ireland’s best pastures for dairy farming.
Blarney Castle - You may come to kiss the Blarney Stone, but you’ll leave remembering the incredible gardens.
To construct a medieval building was an unimaginable feat.
Thousands of workers were forced to work for decades. They moved tonnes of earth, created 200ft wells, and hid secret rooms.
These marvels of human ingenuity are found throughout Ireland, but none are as impressive as the Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle.
And on this tour, you get plenty of time to explore these wonders.
At the Rock of Cashel, you stare in disbelief at the mix of medieval spires and Romanesque roofs. You listen in amazement to the tales of St. Patrick. And you watch the weather change over the hills of the Golden Vale.
At Blarney Castle, you smooch the Blarney stone and learn the ‘gift of the gab’. You stroll through poisonous plants and witches’ caves in the grounds. And you relax by a gorgeous lake view.
So, enjoy some of the most elaborate and complex constructions in Ireland on this day tour from Dublin.
Students, seniors over 60, and children between 5 and 15 (unfortunately, we don't carry children under 5 years old)
Early in the morning, you depart Dublin and drive through lush countryside to County Cork.
You pass the fertile fields of the Golden Vale before arriving at the famously distinctive Rock of Cashel in Country Tipperary.
Here, you have time to discover the sacred stories of St Patrick and the devil, learn about the kings who dwelt here over 1,000 years ago, and appreciate the extraordinary fusion of Gothic and Medieval architecture.
After enjoying this heavenly sight, it’s time to retrace our journey back to Blarney.
But now you have a difficult decision: what will you choose to do in the grounds of Blarney Castle? You can traverse the tower to smooch the stone and earn ‘the gift of the gab’. You can wander to the luscious lake and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Or you can explore the plants and ruins dotted around the gorgeous gardens. There’s also plenty of time to grab lunch at one of the many cafes dotted about.
You travel back to Dublin and arrive in the evening.
We don't have any reviews for this tour yet.
The UK and Ireland's historic city centres are full of narrow streets and winding roads. So, to speed up your departure, we only pick up from our central meeting points. What's more is leaving the city using the most direct route also reduces the carbon footprint of our tours.
We don't recommend bringing your car into the centre of our departure cities. It can be hard to find parking, and there are excellent public transportation services.
Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Due to waiting restrictions, we can't wait for you if you're late.
If you're late for your tour, our cancellation policy applies.
We have a cancellation period of three days for our one day tours, and 21 days for longer tours. If cancelled outside this period, we'll give you a full refund minus a 10% admin charge. If you cancel inside this period, refunds are at our discretion. Click here to view full terms and conditions.
It's simple: you book, you go. This means we'll never cancel your tour because of a minimum numbers policy.
Due to logistical reasons, we're unable to let you pre-book a seat on the bus. But our comfortable 16-seat mini-coaches have huge windows. So, you'll always get a good view.
Unfortunately, we have no on-board toilet facilities, but you'll have regular comfort breaks.
We aim to accommodate everyone. To read more information on how we do this, click here to go to our accessibility guide.
We regret we don't carry children under the age of five on our scheduled tours.
You can ask us about the tours we recommend for younger children. And if your child is less than 1.35m tall, you should let us know, so we can provide them with a suitable booster seat.
We want you to enjoy Britain and Ireland. And we believe the best way to do this is to get you off the mini-coach and out exploring. So, we give you plenty of time to take photos, go walking, and explore ancient ruins.
We exclude visitor attractions in your tour price because it lets you travel your way. It means you can pamper yourself with a luxury lunch or skip an attraction whenever you feel like it.
You don't need to. We stop in small towns, villages, and rural eateries where you can choose whatever meal pleases both your taste buds and your budget.
Let's be honest, our driver-guides would never refuse a cheeky bonus. But it's up to you, and the amount is entirely at your discretion.
We advise you take out travel insurance.
You're protected by ABTOT when you chose to let us reserve your accommodation on a multi-day tour. This means you can claim back anything you've paid us if we become bankrupt. Read our terms and conditions for more information.
