Me and my wife took this tour on 11th October 2017. It was a great experience to visit Scotland - Lowland Highland. Graham, our tour guide, who was also our tour guide on Loch Ness Highland tour the previous day, was super energetic and we could make out that he enjoyed his job the most! With his stories and music clips, he made sure that the entire group was engaged throughout the day! We would certainly look forward to taking 3/5 days tour with Rabbies on our next visit to Scotland! With best wishes, Milind Kshirsagar
It was a beautiful day in the scottish Low Lands and High Lands with some great pictures I took.
This tour was perfect to experience Scotland in a day. I loved all of the stops and we had a good amount of time at each one. I was able to get hundreds of beautiful pictures. As a solo traveler, this was a great way to explore Scotland with a friendly group. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
My family and I enjoyed a delightful day touring Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond, and the Glengoyne Distillery. Our driver and guide, Ewan, was very engaging, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We enjoyed learning about the history, the customs, and the environment that shapes Scotland. I would recommend a Rabbies tour to anyone as ours was one of the highlights of our trip to the UK.
Murray is one of the best tour guides that I have ever had the pleasure of travelling with. His knowledge of the history of the land as well as his terrible jokes made for an interesting and well rounded tour. Everything about the tour was perfect and I cannot think of any way to improve it. Thank you for the great experience!
My Rabbie’s day trip to Stirling and Loch Lomond was made even more memorable by driver/guide Glasgow John, an extraordinarily good raconteur. His stories were entertaining and informative and backed by the perfect musical soundtrack. At the beginning of the day, he told us, the passengers, that he wanted to make the day personal, as well if there was anything not on the itinerary that we wanted to see, just to let him know. I told him I needed pictures of Highland cattle and, sure enough, he found me some shaggy cows just waiting to be photographed. Anyone going to or finding themselves in Glasgow should check out Rabbie’s. All the tours I have taken with them have been extremely good but, if you are fortunate enough to find one led by Glasgow John, you are in for a truly fun and exceptional day. Book it.
Weve just got back from a great day out and I couldnt resist posting. Absolutely fab tour today with Graham! He was wonderful. We especially loved the music, the history and the anecdotes! All of the stops were great and there was plenty of relax time. Graham gave us lots of useful tips for lunch places, dinner and just general facts about Glasgow! We loved it! jac and karen
Can anyone tell me if by any chance Rabbie's shore excursions from the Greenock port? I am looking to book this asap and I see they offer 1 day tours but not so shore if shore excursions.
Weather wise this was the best day of our week. Our guide for the day was John. He was very entertaining and played great music appropriate for the different areas and passengers, great sense kept us all laughing. Even though we did not participate in the distillery tour we enjoyed the scenery. The small bus was great as we were able to go off onto smaller roads, areas that we would not have seen on our own. Thanks again for the Grrreat day!!
The UK and Ireland's historic city centres are full of narrow streets and winding roads. So, to speed up your departure, we only pick up from our central meeting points. What's more is leaving the city using the most direct route also reduces the carbon footprint of our tours.
We don't recommend bringing your car into the centre of our departure cities. It can be hard to find parking, and there are excellent public transportation services.
Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Due to waiting restrictions, we can't wait for you if you're late.
If you're late for your tour, our cancellation policy applies.
We have a cancellation period of 48 hours for our one day tours, 15 days for two to nine day tours, and 21 days for 10+ day tours. If cancelled outside this period, we'll give you a full refund minus a 10% admin charge. If you cancel inside this period, refunds are at our discretion. Click here to view full terms and conditions.
Your tour will always follow the itinerary as closely as possible. While there are ongoing coronavirus restrictions throughout the UK and Ireland, itineraries are more likely to change than usual as opening hours and capacities at many visitor attractions are reduced and subject to change. Your driver-guide will keep you up to up to date on the road, and we'll try to get in touch about any large changes prior to your departure.
It's simple: you book, you go. This means we'll never cancel your tour because of a minimum numbers policy.
Due to logistical reasons, we're unable to let you pre-book a seat on the bus. But our comfortable 16-seat mini-coaches have huge windows. So, you'll always get a good view.
Unfortunately, we have no on-board toilet facilities, but you'll have regular comfort breaks.
We aim to accommodate everyone. To read more information on how we do this, click here to go to our accessibility guide.
We regret we don't carry children under the age of five on our scheduled tours.
You can ask us about the tours we recommend for younger children. And if your child is less than 1.35m tall, you should let us know, so we can provide them with a suitable booster seat.
We want you to enjoy Britain and Ireland. And we believe the best way to do this is to get you off the mini-coach and out exploring. So, we give you plenty of time to take photos, go walking, and explore ancient ruins.
We exclude visitor attractions in your tour price because it lets you travel your way. It means you can pamper yourself with a luxury lunch or skip an attraction whenever you feel like it.
You don't need to. We stop in small towns, villages, and rural eateries where you can choose whatever meal pleases both your taste buds and your budget.
Let's be honest, our driver-guides would never refuse a cheeky bonus. But it's up to you, and the amount is entirely at your discretion.
We advise you take out travel insurance.
You're protected by ABTOT when you chose to let us reserve your accommodation on a multi-day tour. This means you can claim back anything you've paid us if we become bankrupt. Read our terms and conditions for more information.
