This was my first time out of California and I booked this trip the day before, not knowing really what to expect. I am SUPER glad that I decided to go because I had such a wonderful time. Dougie, our driver+guide, was absolutely fantastic and he was so knowledgeable about everything. He was such a great storyteller and I enjoyed listening to the history of William Wallace, learning about the landscape, and stopping by for the Loch Ness cruise and whiskey tasting. It was such a lovely tour with such lovely people it was one of those trip in which you suddenly feel incredibly sad when its over because it was so amazing. I highly recommend this trip to anyone whos looking for a fun time! This is definitely not going to be the last time Ill be taking a tour with Rabbies!

This was my first visit to Scotland but not my last, God willing. My hosts and I were totally entertained by our guide, Grant. He was so personable and knowledgeable it made the trip fly by. I highly recommend this tour, it’s simply the best introduction to some of the beauty and history of Scotland. I had read all the great reviews and i can completely agree with everyone that this a wonderful way to tour.

We really enjoyed our tour to Glencoe, the Highlands and Loch Ness. Ally, our driver and tour guide extraordinaire, was not only very knowledgeable on Scottish history and the sites we visited, but also, had a delightful, subtle sense of humor. He turned our 12-hr tour into a very enjoyable experience with his humor and selected musical accompaniment. Ally stopped several times on the way to Loch Ness and on the way back for food and toilet breaks, and also, for photo opportunities. It was very much appreciated. We will definitely use Rabbies tours again. Hopefully, we will get a tour guide as fine as Ally ...or possibly get Ally himself again!

A great experience

My wife and I went to the Rabbies Day Tour from Glasgow on Saturday 12th August 2017 to Loch Ness,Glencoe and the Highlands. It was a very rewarding experience. The tour guide John Mc Dermott was excellent ..and the places we went were well chosen and very scenic ..He gave us lots of information on all aspects of the tour .He gave us Scottish history as we passed through the Highlands, near the Castles and viewed the Lochs. He told us about the Clans and the Kings, the past owners of the castles and stories about the Lochs. He also spoke about the culture and customs how they make a kilt and the joys of a good Scotch Whiskey. We note how he was very attentive to the lady in the wheelchair. He even made up a game to pass the time in the long stretches It was a great tour and everyone departed in good spirits

simply the best

Myself and my partner went on the 1 day tour of Loch Ness, Glencoe the highlands in May and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our tour guide was Gillian, who made the history of the highlands come alive, and made us fall in love with its its beautiful sights as well as its history! She offered a unique experience and made our trip that even better! Would throughly recommend Rabbies tours for anyone interested in exploring the highlands! We are already planning a 2 day highland tour with Rabbies for the future to explore more of its gorgeous scenery!

Do you offer hotel pickups in the departure cities?

The UK and Ireland's historic city centres are full of narrow streets and winding roads. So, to speed up your departure, we only pick up from our central meeting points. What's more is leaving the city using the most direct route also reduces the carbon footprint of our tours.

Is there parking close to the departure point?

We don't recommend bringing your car into the centre of our departure cities. It can be hard to find parking, and there are excellent public transportation services.

When should I get to the departure point?

Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Due to waiting restrictions, we can't wait for you if you're late.

What happens if I'm late or miss the tour?

If you're late for your tour, our cancellation policy applies.

What are your cancellation policies?

We have a cancellation period of three days for our one day tours, and 21 days for longer tours. If cancelled outside this period, we'll give you a full refund minus a 10% admin charge. If you cancel inside this period, refunds are at our discretion. Click here to view full terms and conditions.

What is a guaranteed departure?

It's simple: you book, you go. This means we'll never cancel your tour because of a minimum numbers policy.

Can I pre-book a specific seat?

Due to logistical reasons, we're unable to let you pre-book a seat on the bus. But our comfortable 16-seat mini-coaches have huge windows. So, you'll always get a good view.

Are there toilets on the bus?

Unfortunately, we have no on-board toilet facilities, but you'll have regular comfort breaks.

Do you take children on your tours?

We regret we don't carry children under the age of five on our scheduled tours.

You can ask us about the tours we recommend for younger children. And if your child is less than 1.35m tall, you should let us know, so we can provide them with a suitable booster seat.

How much time do I get off the bus?

We want you to enjoy Britain and Ireland. And we believe the best way to do this is to get you off the mini-coach and out exploring. So, we give you plenty of time to take photos, go walking, and explore ancient ruins.

Why do you exclude visitor attractions?

We exclude visitor attractions in your tour price because it lets you travel your way. It means you can pamper yourself with a luxury lunch or skip an attraction whenever you feel like it.

Do we need to bring our own lunch?

You don't need to. We stop in small towns, villages, and rural eateries where you can choose whatever meal pleases both your taste buds and your budget.

Should I tip the driver-guide?

Let's be honest, our driver-guides would never refuse a cheeky bonus. But it's up to you, and the amount is entirely at your discretion.

What about travel insurance?

We advise you take out travel insurance. You can click here for excellent rates.

I have more questions, who can help me?

If you have any more questions, call us on +44(0)131 226 3133, email tours@rabbies.com, or check out our full FAQs.
