Andrew, our tour guide, was amazing. He made it one of the best tours I've been on. I look forward to more Rabbie's tours in the future.

Andrew is so nice and friendly. The tour is so attractive itself, and the way Andrew introduced us make it even more interesting and impressed! I feel like I am so much liking this place as the tour guide himself loves the place so much! Andrew is presenting his own pleasure to us which is the most important part, rather than just talking about the history and travelling us to the place.

tour guide was so much fun! i dont think anyone else could have made 3 days of sad winter weather more interesting and enjoyable!

I never would have imagined how beautiful a cold and wet winter could be until I visited the Highlands and the Isle of Skye with the guide of Rabbies. The beauty of the landscapes and scenic views were made meaningful by the experience provided by our super-friendly and knowledgeable driver/tour-guide, Paul. An almost disaster vacation turned out to be a once in a lifetime and memorable winter vacation that will always be remembered. Not only he showed us the perfects spots of photographs and sight-seeing, he also brought us the history and the local folklores as if we were transported to the magical world of fairies and castles. I'm also happy I met great people from all over the world in this trip. Thanks Paul, Graham and George! See you soon!

Magificent scenery without the hassle of driving myself

This was our first multi-day bus tour and although we approached with trepidation, we absolutely loved the small group, many stops, relaxed pace (even when I know we were getting a bit behind). Being able to pick and choose our directions to walk, eat, run around at stops ... what a treat; ditto for having many options in terms of accommodation type/price range. We are still raving about it more than a week later, and wondering if you operate outside Scotland. We are both pretty urban-focused, but even the ultra-urban spouse thought your tour was simply wonderful. The country-loving did too.

I like how Paul, our tour guide, answered all our doubts and questions, told stories, history...cared to stop in every single spot during sunrise or sunset to get dramatic pictures with beautiful skies and amazing landscapes, he was very attentive and professional. Amazing tour and guide!

Our tour was amazing and the best part of our whole trip. This was solely due to Emily, our guide. Her degree in Celtic Civilizations was invaluable in making the trip. My mother is from Glasgow and I lived in Scotland for a year and this trip was the best time I have had. Emily is an amazing asset to your company.

Andrew Campbell gave us a wonderful and informative experience. I am writing a book about the area and he helped with a lot of the local details and folklore.

Our 3 Day Tour to the Isle of Skye was incredible! Our tour guide Peter (Wee Pete) made the trip extra special with his knowledge of the history of Scotland and with the telling of wonderful folk stories. Our visit to Skye was the highlight of our visit to Scotland.

Andrew, our guide, was very informative. Each stop was more beautiful than the one before - in spite of the rain. I am from Glasgow originally and always wanted to visit Skye.

The tour all in all was absolutely fantasic. Best tour I´ve done with Rabbies so far. Best stop was definitely Neist Point and Dunvegan Castle. And of course, Stuart was a wonderful guide who made this tour most enjoyable. Big thank you for that.

Itinerario Nuestros clientes comentan Fotografías del viajero Full Itinerary (English)

Day 1 Depart Glasgow at 09.00 and travel north, crossing the ancient natural fault line that runs across Scotland. We travel into the majestic Highlands where the scenery changes quickly and dramatically - the flat fertile plains of the Lowlands give way to shimmering lochs, rugged mountain tops and forest-filled glens. We continue north over the wild and remote Rannoch Moor into Glencoe. This haunting glen was the scene of a great massacre in 1692 where many of the Clan Macdonald were slaughtered. We stop in this imposing mountain pass so you can enjoy the spectacular views. From here we travel past Fort William and up to the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge with great views over Ben Nevis. On the "Road to the Isles" now through the splendour of the Five Sisters of Kintail, the mountains guarding the pass on the way to the Isle of Skye. We stop to visit the famous Eilean Donan Castle, used in the film "Highlander", set at the junction of 3 lochs as protection against Viking raiders. Crossing over the bridge to Skye, we head north to Portree. You are then dropped off at your accommodation in the early evening where you are free to go out and explore the town.

Day 2 is a very flexible day on Skye. There are many possibilities depending on the weather, and dynamics of the group. Your driver/ guide's knowledge will come to the fore in arranging the best day for everyone. For example: Travel north to explore the Trotternish peninsula with its stunning Quiraing mountain pass and some of Skye's extraordinary geological scenery. Kilt Rock, composed of basalt columns (reminiscent of the pleats in a kilt) with its waterfall cascading over the cliffs and down into the sea below. There will be a short break for lunch before continuing to enjoy this most dramatic of islands. Heading in a westerly direction there is Dunvegan castle, the ancestral home of Clan Macleod, and possibly the opportunity to enjoy spectacular views at Neist Point, the furthest most west point on Skye. We return you to your accommodation in Portree in the early evening for you to enjoy a free night in Portree.

Day 3 You will be collected from your accommodation and travel south through the Cuillin Hills and back over to the mainland for stunning views over Loch Duich and the 5 Sisters of Kintail. Onto Loch Ness for lunch and the possibility of spotting "Nessie". Heading south now through the Grampian mountains along Loch Laggan, famous now as "Monarch of the Glen Country" before passing Dalwhinnie, home to Scotland's highest whisky Distillery, and onwards past Blair Castle stopping for refreshments before heading back to Glasgow. Arriving at 1930 approx.
