We had a excellent experience with our tour guide/driver Sara, she told us about Scotland´s history in a fantastic way, she is really an incredible story teller. Annikki, Arne Hägglund, Helena Canneryd and Kai Pakola

Hey all, My family and I just recently went on a Rabbie's 2 day highland tour and absolutely loved it. Our driver Ian was fantastic and we learned and saw so much. One thing that was really underrated was the Scottish music they played in between telling stories on the drive. I would really love to know the type of playlist they use for that and whether or not I can get ahold of some of that music either online or CD. If anyone, tourist or staff has any ideas I would really appreciate a response. YAY Rabbie's!! - K

Thanks for a wonderful trip on 15-16 September 2011. Sarah is a perfect coach driver and a marvellous guide and story teller. On these two days we learned more about Scotland than ever before. Sarah, we are also profoundly grateful to you for your help and assistance in the difficult moments we went through on the first day.

Thanks Rabbie's for giving us the opportunity to visit and especially to see, to hear, to feel your country! Extra: Audrey!! A great and young ambassador. Her way of guiding, driving, laughing is still in my head and my ears.

The trip to Loch Ness & the Highlands was amazing. It was not only sunny and warm (for Scotland;) ) but it was also the best tour I ever had. We did not only see Loch Ness but soooo many other beautiful sights like Glen Affrig or Glencoe. The first one of those two was definitely the most interesting and remote side trip we have made and I love the scenery there. So beautiful, so quiet. Perfect. But the main reason for the tour being sooooo great was our fantastic guide: Emily. Thanks so much for all the anecdotes and the historical and Scottish facts. Where ever we where you knew so much about everything and you were such a perfect guide. You make it quite hard for any other tour guide to even think about reaching your high standard!:) And the accommodation in Inverness was also so great. Really clean room and bathroom, delicious Scottish breaktfast and so nice chats. I really enjoyed my night at Dalmore Guest House. But also thanks to my fellow travellers. It was a lovely and very nice group! Thanks for this great trip. I'll definitly choose Rabbie's again if I'll ever do another trip.

Sara McKenzie was our guide and driver for this 5/12 -5/13/2011 tour. It was a fabulous time, great fun! She was funny, informative and made the trip so enjoyable. Everything was great and I would highly recommend the 2 day for more time to really see and enjoy all the sites since Scotland is such a magnificient county. Special thanks to Alex Lee for all his assistance!

We recently (30/12/2010 to 31-12-2010) did the above two day tour with your tour guide, Roland. Luckily for us the weather was brilliant - no snow, no rain - perfect. Your tour guide was not only entertaining, but had a thorough knowledge of the Scotland history and the areas we drove through. We really enjoyed the tour and will recommend it to anyone who cares to listen. A very warm regards (+34 degrees C !!) from Cape Town, South Africa. Jaco & Charmaine Louw

The tour was wonderful--The Highlands are stunningly beautiful, and Ian's commentary was always informative and entertaining--had a great time.

My husband & I had a fabulous 2 day tour in scotland (inverness-lochness). Loved the tour, the tips & photo opportunities. Ian - our tour guide - you were awesome - we loved your story telling narrative style - added so much sense to the sight seeing !! Your narrative seemed straight out of a History Channel or Discovery documentaries with a Scottish accent and was so enjoyable !! Thoroughly enjoyed being your door assistant too :) Would like to add - Ian is a fabulous driver too, you drove sooo well !! Will post in some photos soon !!

I'm a bit late, but my parents and I made the 2days trip on April 15th/16th with Mac. Everything was amazing, the weather, the guide, the view... I want to come back!! Does anybody knows which CD Mac played during the Tour?? Cheers :)

Trip was very enjoyable, with a mix of music and commentary to keep us interested. The knowledge and background shown by Doug on the countryside and also suggested places to visit on to enhance our overnight experience was outstanding!

The general atmosphere was fantastic. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and really made us feel like we were having a unique experience, even though we know he gives these tours often.

Sarah is a very good guide. Very responsible, capable. She has a lot of knowledge, great sense of humor, all was very interesting and enjoyable.

We took a small walk through one of the forests in the highlands. It was a wonderful stop and an easy hike for all people. Our guide, David, knew a lot about the area and stories about the forest around us. It was a lot of fun and breath taking at the same time.
Posted by Amanda Campbell on 08/07/2011

The guide's knowledge and expertise in keeping us engaged with his commentory, anecdotes, the music, all of them made the two day tour exceptionally satisfying.

I really enjoyed the whole tour, but loved the fact that we could stop off in other areas for pictures because we were on a mini bus.

My sister and I loved exploring Inverness -- much cooler city than we'd anticipated. I also really enjoyed driving through, and stopping in, Glen Afric.
Posted by Jennie Bradley on 16/05/2011

EMILY SKINNER is AWESOME!!!!!! She made Scotland come alive for us and tied in the itinerary to the history so completely that we were hooked from the get go! She even got my 15 year old daughter going with creepy stories about Scotland. I loved my first visit and you can be sure I will be back.
Posted by Saba Sadiq on 15/03/2011

Our tour guide Al was great. He knew everything that there was to know about Scotland which put me to shame cause i know nothing about my country. My mother was from Scotland and it was lovely hearing songs on the tour that i listened to as a child

Day 1 Depart Edinburgh at 08.45 heading west towards Stirling, passing Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. You also pass Doune Castle (set of Monty Python's "Holy Grail") before stopping in the small town of Callander for a refreshment stop. You now cross over the fault line into the magnificent Highlands taking in the splendour of Loch Luibnaig, Loch Earn, Glen Ogle and Glen Dochart, as you travel north over the wild and remote Rannoch Moor into Glencoe. This haunting glen was the scene of a great massacre in 1692 where many of the Clan Macdonald were slaughtered. You stop in this imposing mountain pass and take you for a walk so you can enjoy the spectacular views. You continue north and up the Great Glen to the mysterious beauty of Loch Ness, travelling the whole 23 miles of the famous Loch - plenty of time to try and spot "Nessie!" You arrive at your destination of Inverness at approx 1930 where you will be dropped off at your booked accommodation. The evening is free for you to explore the capital of the Highlands.

Day 2 You will be picked up from your accommodation between 0900 & 0930 in Inverness and head west towards glorious Glen Affric. This is a stunning area where the River Affric flows down through a dramatic gorge, surrounded on all sides by the beautiful Caledonian pine forest (one of the only remaining areas of Caledonian pine in Scotland, this has now been made into a nature reserve). You can spend some time here and enjoy a walk through the forest, alongside the River Affric. From Glen Affric, you go east to Drumnadrochit, stopping for photos of Urquhart Castle with its mighty ruins overlooking Loch Ness. You will spend your lunchtime on the southern shore of the Loch in the charming village of Fort Augustus. The Caledonian Canal, which links the lochs of the Great Glen, dominates the town and makes a great place to relax and watch the boats sail by. You then travel south towards Loch Laggan and into the Cairngorms National Park, a mountainous area of wild land, forests lochs and glens. You continue south past Blair Castle, stopping in the lovely town of Pitlochry before returning to Edinburgh, past Perth and over the Forth Road Bridge. Arrive approx. 19.00.
