Day 1
Leaving the great city of London behind us today we head west. We arrive at the pretty village of Avebury. Here we will be able to wander amidst the largest stone circle in the world and a World Heritage Site. Nearby is also the site of the Cherhill White Horse, which was cut out of the chalk hillside in 1780. Not far from here, set in rural Wiltshire, is Lacock village, famous for its picturesque streets, historic buildings and its more recent role as a television and film location. The Abbey, located at the heart of the village within its own woodland grounds, is a quirky country house of various architectural styles. We spend some time in the afternoon in Bath, suffused with relics of its Roman past and of course its famous Bath. From here we continue to Cirencester, set in the heart of the Cotswolds, which is so quintessentially English. Cirencester was the second largest town in Britain during Roman times!
Day 2
We will discover some more of the Cotswold scenery and villages. You will see some outstanding countryside with river valleys, water meadows and beech woods, sleepy ancient limestone villages, historic market towns and for being so ‘typically English’ where time has stood still for over 300 years.
Our visits will include Bourton on the Water, also known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds. It is a picturesque village with many of the traditional features unique to this area. Next stop will be Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds and packed with charming traditional houses. The quaint village of Woodstock can not be missed to conclude your tour of the area, with a photo stop at Blenheim Palace.
In the afternoon we visit Oxford, renowned for over 900 year as a centre of academic excellence. Discover at your own pace the college courtyards, unspoilt narrow alleys and the historic town square. Harry Potter fans might want to see Christ Church, where many scenes from the films have been shot. The grandeur of the Great Hall has formed the basis of Hogwarts Hall!
Later that day we return back to London at approx.7pm.

How surprised was I when I turned up for my Rabbies tour (recommended to me by my duaghter) to find out I was the only person booked to go. My driver Ambrose told me that it was Rabbies policy to still run the tour even if there was only one participant so off we went!! I had the whole bus, could ask tons of questions, sit up the front and Ambrose and I hit it off immediately. To land in another country on your own is often daunting but not with Ambrose who immediately made me feel at home and was so courteous and knowledgeable. We had a great time touring about and the scenery was breathtaking. The whole time I had my own personal commentary about whatever I needed to know. My B & B experience was also excellent and so much better than I expected. I would definitely book another Rabbies tour and would look for one with Ambrose as he was brilliant!

I was the only participant on my tour but Rabbies as their brochure states still ran the tour! I had a lovely driver called Ambrose who had a wealth of knowledge about everything and was happy to take me wherever I wanted to go. We had our own little holiday really, hit it off well and went along for the ride, literally.

Kevin was very enjoyable and was honest with us about what stops were worth our limited time. His mention of Winston Churchill's birthplace allowed the group to make a great decision to see the palace.

I did the Cotswolds, Bath & Oxford two day tour on 10 October 2012 and just wanted to say what a wonderful tour guide Kevin was - and a safe driver! He catered to every need, very knowledgeable and a great communicator. He is a an asset to Rabbies company. It made for a wonderful trip. Will recommend to all my friends back in Australia.

Thank-you Ambrose for a wonderful tour. I appreciated your knowledge of all the areas we visited. I had enough time in each town to really look around. Oxford was magnificent!

Thanks again Owen for a terrific tour. This was our second tour with your company in the 2 weeks we had in London, and we can't speak highly enough about them both! We will definitely recommend your company to anyone we know visiting the UK. What a great time we had!
