This is how it's done - Robin watches carefully!

Din moss peat bog is located 8kms south west of the town of Coldstream, close to the Scottish and English border. The site is a raised bog esential for reading the botanical history of Scotland during the Halocene period, about 10,000 years ago.

Robin, managing director and Hazel, sales manager, visited the site in May to lend a hand. Rabbie's donation of money helped to provide dams fixed within the moss to ensure that any water is retained. In the past ditches were cut to allow the water to drain away but now the emphasis is placed on keeping the water to encourage the peat to grow helping to preserve it and raise the bog and lock up the carbon contained in the peat.

Ok - now it's Robin's turn!

Phew its hard work!

No sign of Hazel. Is she having a cup of tea?!?
